The Quality Engineer will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and employees, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nKnowledge and understanding of production processes in the field of mechanical production and assembly.\nConducting internal quality audits.\nPerforming quality audits and Supplier Certification (FAI).\nKnowledge and experience of Measurement Methods and Measurement Tools\nCertification and training of employees/auditors.\nHandling quality issues with suppliers.\nHandling quality problems with customers.\nConducting fault investigations and locating the root of the problem, defining corrective and preventive activities (CAPA).\nManaging a team of 5 to 8 employees.\nEducational and Experience Requirements:\nDegree in mechanical engineering\nDegree in quality assurance (CQE, CQM, Lead Auditor) an advantage.\nPrior supervisor and manufacturing and ISO 9001 experience required.\nExperience in the firearms industry is preferred.\nExtensive knowledge in reading technical drawings.\nKnowledge of manufacturing process – machining, metal, metal castings process.\nAbility to perform geometric inspection for metal parts using standard measuring tools.\nUnderstanding computerized (CMM /GOM/OGP) inspection process.\nCoordinating the issue of supplier evaluation and subcontracting.\nIWI US, INC is an equal opportunity employer\nAll candidates who receive an offer of employment will be required to undergo and clear a background check and drug testing.
