all the VEWFD staff and faculty.\r\nEssential duties and responsibilities include:\r\nAssisting with communication between the WFD Training Office, other departments, North Slope Borough, businesses, contractors, and community organizations.\r\nCompleting and processing training requests, contracts, student registration forms, attendance sheets, business office documents, and other forms required for enrollment and timely billing.\r\nTracking and maintaining an electronic filing system for classes, reviewing and compiling registrations, student evaluations, and expenses associated with classes.\r\nWorking with the Workforce Director to provide direction and advice to students, prospective students, parents, contractors, and the general public concerning short-term training scholarships, including the application process, eligibility criteria, disbursement of aid, and responsibilities.\r\nCollaborating with Recruitment on outreach activities and recruiting events to expand the prospective student pool.\r\nProviding instructional support to WFD instructors, including ordering teaching supplies, assisting with grading, and coordinating travel logistics for village-based trainings.\r\nWorking in cooperation with the Admission Officer along with other college personnel to facilitate admission and enrollment processes for Vocational Education degree programs.\r\nMaintaining communication with perspective Vocational Education students from the beginning of the admissions and registration process through program completion.\r\nRecruiting students for Workforce Development (WFD), Vocational Education, Driver's Education, and Heavy Equipment Operations (HEO) classes, ensuring all participants meet prerequisite requirements prior to enrollment.\r\nAssisting with the paperwork and coordination for contractors.\r\nAssisting in all logistics and projects required for Workforce Development trainings including proctoring.\r\nDeveloping applicable training reports and providing training information to appropriate requesting parties.\r\nScreening calls and scheduling appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.\r\nSupporting WFD administrative needs including ordering and filing when needed.\r\nMaintaining a high level of confidentiality with records and information.\r\nOccasionally necessary to work outside of normally scheduled business hours.\r\nComplying with College policies, procedures, and administrative directives, as well as state, federal, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.\r\nPerforming other related duties as assigned.\r\nKnowledge/skills/abilities include:\r\nDemonstrated professional work experience in Industrial Safety, Workforce Development, Adult Vocational Technical, or other short-term training programs.\r\nExperience in writing and/or editing reports, contracts, and procurement.\r\nAbility to comprehend the College admissions process and student short-term training scholarship eligibility requirements.\r\nDemonstrated customer service experience: internal or external.\r\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity software.\r\nAbility to independently follow workflow processes from start to completion.\r\nExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.\r\nAbility to work independently and as a member of a team.\r\nDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.\r\nAbility to adjust to shifting deadlines and priorities.\r\nGood organizational and time-management skills.\r\nAttention to detail capabilities.\r\nDemonstrated ability to interact effectively in a multicultural environment.\r\nAbility to pass a pre-employment background check.\r\nDemonstrated knowledge in one or more of the following areas: post-secondary educational systems, North Slope Borough [NSB] institutions and organizations; Iupiat culture, language, values, and traditions.\r\nAbility to interpret and environment.\r\nValid driver's license.\r\nPhysical requirements include:\r\nSitting, standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and reach with hands and arms.\r\nStoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear.\r\nOccasionally required to climb or balance, and may occasionally drive a vehicle.\r\nLift and/or move up to 40 pounds.\r\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.\r\nEnvironmental conditions
