As a Machine Operator, you own a machine: you set it up, run it clean, catch problems before they turn into scrap, and hand off work the next department can trust. If you take pride in a make-ready that lands the first time and a shift that hits its numbers, this is your seat.\n\nYou'll work on the equipment your site runs - digital and UV printing, laser cutting, digital cutting, sublimation, and related finishing equipment - and cross-train onto additional machines as you grow. You'll report to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager and work side by side with Quality, Maintenance, and the operators up and down the line.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nRead job tickets, CAD layouts, and production specs, then set up and run your assigned machine to spec.\nPerform make-readies - tooling, dies, gluing systems, counters, and other setup components.\nMonitor runs for quality and accuracy; adjust within your authority and stop the line when output drifts.\nRun in-process inspections and approve jobs before they move to the next department.\nOperate finishing and support equipment as needed (stripper, blanker, punch press, taper, guillotine, and other site equipment).\nHandle routine preventive maintenance: cleaning, lubrication, small-part replacement, and minor adjustments.\nTroubleshoot equipment issues and escalate the complex ones to your supervisor, lead, or Maintenance.\nKeep accurate machine logs - downtime, production counts, scrap, and quality events - in our production-tracking systems.\nWatch material yield and take action to reduce waste.\nFollow all safety policies, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and safe tool and machine operation.\nHelp train newer operators and cover other machines during absences and peak periods.\nBring improvement ideas forward: faster setups, less scrap, less downtime.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nMechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting instincts.\nAbility to read and interpret job tickets, CAD images, and blueprints accurately.\nBasic math for measurements, counts, and waste tracking.\nClear communication and a willingness to follow direction and ask questions.\nFlexibility to cross-train and run more than one type of machine.\nComfort in a fast-paced production environment.\n\nNice to Have\n\nPrior machine-operation experience in printing, promotional products, packaging, or converting.\nHands-on time with digital or UV printing, laser cutting, digital cutting, sublimation, presses, or finishing equipment.\nVocational, technical, or trade-school coursework in machine operation or manufacturing.\nForklift, equipment-specific, or safety certifications (may be required for certain machines).\n\nSchedule and Work Environment\n\nStandard production schedule, with overtime, weekends, and extended hours during peak production periods. No travel. This is an on-floor role: expect to stand on concrete for the full shift, lift up to 50 lbs (more with assistance), bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions in an environment with moving machinery, varying noise levels, and material- or process-dependent dust, inks, adhesives, or solvents.
