Since 1903.\nAre you looking for the right opportunity to establish your career?\nWe are growing and need talented team players to join us!\nJOB SUMMARY\nAs a Packaging Shift Manager, you will oversee daily operations, act as the liaison between staff and upper management, and work closely with your team to maximize customer satisfaction.\nEssential Duties\nSupervise the operation of the facility, including customer-facing and back areas.\nManage staff members, create weekly schedules, and assign tasks.\nMotivate staff to meet individual and team goals for sales and customer satisfaction.\nProvide ongoing training and coaching for employees.\nEstablish a culture of quality, safety and efficiency\nEfficiently resolve conflicts among staff members\nMonitor inventory and maintain product stock.\nOversee the receiving of products and supplies.\nMaintain equipment and arrange for regular upkeep and maintenance.\nEnsure that all areas are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.\nDirect opening and closing procedures; delegating tasks to staff members.\nEnforce compliance with safety policies and regulations.\nCommunicate with upper management regarding operations and personnel.\nReport on employee attendance, productivity, and daily operations\nDevelop strategies to reduce expenses and maximize revenue.\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED, required.\nPrevious managerial experience\nWork experience in a similar environment\nConflict resolution\nAdaptability, integrity and safety-minded\nStrong problem-solving skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to delegate tasks effectively\nStrong organizational and time management skills\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nWork Environment\nThis job operates in a non-temperature-controlled industrial plant environment. These conditions can vary from hot and cold extremes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving production machinery and vibration. Moderate noise can be expected from forklifts, machinery, trains, and trucks. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
