Either the company or employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time, for any reason, with or without notice or cause.\nDUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSeat each patient at the unit and explain the refracting process.\nCheck incoming vision prior to starting the Epic refraction program.\nInstill drops for the use of TonoPen and dilation if needed.\nDisplay an understanding of refractometry and retinoscopy.\nPerform specific tests requested by doctors.\nPresent doctors with accurate numbers and stated patient preferences.\nSpend 10 minutes or less with each patient.\nREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:\nAbility to use computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and NextGen (EHR).\nAbility to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations.\nAbility to manage stress and remain composed in a fastpaced, highstress environment.\nBilingual in Spanish (preferred).\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:\nSix months to oneyear related experience and/or technical school training.\nHigh school diploma/GED.\nPreference will be given to applicants with experience in an ophthalmology setting. This is a full-time position with a benefits package. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience and training of the candidate.
