Our high-quality, compliant solutions are trusted nationwide, making Utilus a reliable partner for telecom projects of any scale.\n\nDescription\n\nAssist Drill Operator and Locator during drilling operations\n\nSet up and break down drill sites, including entry/exit pits and tooling\n\nHandle drill rods, reamers, and pipe safely\n\nMix and manage drilling fluids (bentonite or additives)\n\nPerform potholing/daylighting using hand tools or vacuum excavation\n\nInstall conduit, pipe, or casing\n\nConduct site cleanup and restoration\n\nMaintain tools and equipment\n\nPerform traffic control duties when required\n\nFollow OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies\n\nIdentify hazards and report unsafe conditions\n\nLoad and unload materials and equipment\n\nSupport other crew members as needed\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred\n\nConstruction or utility experience a plus\n\nWillingness to learn HDD operations\n\nStrong work ethic and team attitude\n\nWillingness to travel or work overtime as needed\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nUnderground utility or directional drilling experience\n\nOSHA 10 certification\n\nFlagging or traffic control certification\n\nRailroad or roadway safety training\n\nMechanical aptitude\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\nAbility to work outdoors near heavy equipment and live utilities in various weather conditions and on active construction sites\n\nAble to lift and move up to 50 lbs\n\nProlonged periods of driving, walking, standing, bending, and using hands/tools\n\nExposure to noise, dust, mud, and weather\n\nMust wear required PPE on job sites and adhere to safety protocols\n\nUtilus is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
