Responsibilities include:\r\nHiring, training, managing, supervising, directing, and developing great people ready to serve a SuperSONIC experience to every guest\r\nDemonstrating a fair, firm, fun leadership approach, and leading by example\r\nManaging a profit and loss statement to exceed expectations every week, month, and year\r\nSwiftly resolving employee concerns with a thoughtful approach\r\nCelebrating team successes and coaching for better performance\r\nSetting expectations and providing clear and continuous feedback\r\nCreating an upbeat positive atmosphere during the shift that makes work fun\r\nHelping employees understand the big picture and their role by sharing the why behind tasks\r\nUnderstanding how to use metrics to evaluate Drive-In performance and make necessary improvements\r\nGetting out in the community, making a difference, and growing sales for your Drive-In and the brand\r\nMaintaining and enforcing Sonic safety and sanitation standards\r\nRelentlessly complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations\r\nWhat Youll Need:\r\nPrior management experience; restaurant or retail industry highly preferred (subject to franchise discretion)\r\nHigh standards for self and the team\r\nPositive attitude, especially during rushes or stressful situations\r\nResiliency trying different approaches to solve a problem; working to get better every day\r\nEagerness to learn and grow professionally and personally\r\nAbility to prioritize and complete tasks accordingly\r\nExcellent leadership and communication skills\r\nAssociates degree in Business or related field preferred (subject to franchise discretion)\r\nWillingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays\r\nThe Fine Print:\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\r\nAdvanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred\r\nMinimum of two (2) years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred), experience running shifts without supervision\r\nRequired to work shifts including irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays. 50+ hours/week.\r\nKnowledge of recruiting, interviewing and selection practices\r\nKnowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations\r\nLeadership and supervisory practices and skills; effective verbal and written communication skills\r\nBasic accounting and computer skills\r\nAbility to follow directions and work with autonomy once given directions; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems\r\nProblem solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution skills\r\nWillingness to abide by the appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at Sonic\r\nSure, classic cars and vintage threads may be things of the past, but the Sonic Drive-In experience will always be groovy, right on, awesome, wicked, fab, the bees knees, cruisin ... you get the picture!
