This role requires someone who can work closely with business and technical teams to understand data needs, build reliable services, and deliver scalable solutions that support enterprise operations.\nWhat You'll Do:\nDesign, develop, maintain, and support backend services and data solutions using Python.\nBuild and consume RESTful APIs, with hands-on experience using FastAPI.\nDesign and implement enterprise-level data architecture to support business and technical requirements.\nWork with relational databases and write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.\nSupport non-relational database technologies and apply them appropriately based on use case.\nDesign and implement custom ETL pipelines and event-driven systems at scale.\nCollaborate with application teams, data teams, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver reliable technical solutions.\nSupport CI/CD workflows and development automation using tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.\nWork with Elastic Stack technologies, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, and APM, for log aggregation, search, monitoring, and application performance visibility.\nTroubleshoot and resolve production issues related to APIs, databases, data flows, performance, and system reliability.\nUse AI-assisted development tools to support software design, code generation, research, and technical decision-making.\nMaintain code quality, documentation, and best practices for backend, API, and data engineering work.\nWhat You Bring:\n5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, backend development, or enterprise data application development.\nStrong proficiency in Python and Python fundamentals.\nHands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.\nRequired experience with FastAPI.\nSolid experience with relational databases and strong SQL skills.\nAbility to write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.\nWorking knowledge of non-relational database technologies and their appropriate use cases.\nExperience designing and implementing ETL pipelines.\nExperience with event-driven architecture and scalable data workflows.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub and Jenkins.\nFamiliarity with Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, and APM.\nStrong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently, understand complex systems, and deliver high-quality solutions.\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\nExperience working in oil and gas, energy, or enterprise data environments.\nFamiliarity with oil and gas operations or industry-specific data concepts.\nExperience supporting production systems and business-critical applications.\nExperience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or similar platforms.\nExperience with cloud platforms is a plus, but this is not primarily a cloud infrastructure role.\nWhat You'll Gain:\nFull-time position in a quickly growing company.\nCompetitive salary with regular revisions.\n401(k) Retirement Plan and comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.\nPaid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.\nIn-house IT training and certifications through WebCreek University.\nFlexible work environment within a diverse, international team.\nWellness programs and exclusive \"workcation\" opportunities for top performers.\nLocation: On-site in Houston, TX.
