Production Associate

The Cylinder Filler/ Warehouse will be responsible for safely handling, filling, cleaning and painting propane cylinders in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, and meeting the standard operating procedures of Advanced Gas & Welding Solutions. In particular, you will: Inspect propane cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government and Advanced Gas requirements. Conduct a variety of Safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking valves, and test dates. Handle high-pressure, medical and propane cylinders in the warehouse Assist with the loading and unloading of cylinders on and off pallets and tractor trailers. Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment. Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA and Advanced Gas standards. Completes quality control sheets as required. Understands hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks. Other duties as assigned Preferences: HS Diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of one year of prior experience in a manufacturing operation, filling of loading experience preferred Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply in industry or chemical industry preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds Excellent customer service skills Strong level of attention to detail Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines Ability to safely operate a forklift Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
