Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) is a methodology for streamlining software development and deployment, focusing on automating processes and enabling faster, more reliable releases.\nThe selected individual will support activities as a member of an agile development team for a large complex enterprise system. The position requires a dedicated software engineer who will work on a variety of tasks. She/he must have a willingness to learn and use new technologies and methodologies, with a focus on automating processes and ensuring efficient software delivery. She/he must consider the organization's entire IT infrastructure when making changes and improvements.\nResponsibilities Include:\nManaging tools for development, deployment, and integrated testing.\nIntegrating project functions and resources across the entire product life cycle.\nIdentifying manual processes that can be automated.\nSelecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools.\nImplementing various development, testing, and automation tools, optimizing IT infrastructure.\nEnsuring that system improvements do not jeopardize system security.\nStriving for improvement, and building continuous integration, development, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).\nPersevering when facing challenges, with a strong commitment to the goals.\nCollaborating with and assisting team members across the program as needed.\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nTo be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.\nMust have a solid understanding of this company.\nMust have at least 5 years of experience managing tools for development, deployment, and integrated test.\nMust have at least 5 years of experience working with CI/CD frameworks.\nMust have meaningful System Administration experience (mostly Windows but also Linux).\nMust have experience with several of the following: Java, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Batch, and Bash scripting, JavaScript, AngularJS.\nMust have experience with IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStorm.\nMust have experience with software source control and configuration management tools.\nMust have experience working in a virtualized environment (managing VMs).\nMust have experience with container-based platforms for automated deployment of applications.\nMust have experience with software source control and configuration management tools.\nMust be motivated, flexible and willing to learn new techniques, technologies and adhere to best practices in test automation.\nMust have a strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices.\nMust be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.\nMust be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team in a fast-moving environment.\nIf not located at the MD location, some short-duration travel may be required to support quarterly PI Planning sessions in MD.\nTo be considered for this role, candidates must meet the requirements for one of the following skill levels:\nSenior: Seven (7) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
