The PTCU team, also known as the PTC University team, is responsible for several key areas within the organization:\nTraining and education\nCurriculum development\nCustomer engagement\nProcess Improvement\nOperations activities\nAs a Technical Curriculum Developer, you will...\nDevelop training content for engineering and manufacturing professionals, including courses and tutorials.\nCollaborate with instructors and implement their feedback to improve course content.\nCollaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across PTC while developing your own subject matter expertise in PTC products.\nCreate highly technical, attractive, well-designed, original slides and write succinct training guide notes in PowerPoint and Word for lab-supported classes.\nDevelop realistic, engaging labs for instructor-led training for PTC technology.\nProduce well-written, motivating tutorials in Word.\nWrite challenging assessment questions for software product certification exams.\nUpdate existing training content with the latest software product version while applying current software workflows, the latest PTC University curriculum standards, and instructional design best practices.\nDesign demonstrations and lab exercises using workflows and step-by-step descriptions that stretch learners but provide enough information to ensure successful completion.\nPerform peer technical reviews, provide constructive feedback, and attend alpha deliveries for content written by other curriculum developers.\nLead alpha deliveries and attend beta deliveries for the training material you develop.\nResearch the latest engineering functions, processes, and best practices for PTC’s core products.\nWork well with international colleagues from other cultures and time zones.\nRemain current on PTC technology solutions and develop skills on emerging technologies, as needed.\nPreferred Skills and Knowledge\nExcellent communication skills with an emphasis on technical writing and presentation.\nCurious problem-solver.\nKnowledge of instructional design principles to create impactful training for working professionals.\nHighly motivated and proactive, able to take ownership and drive results\nManufacturing, process, industrial, or mechanical design experience.\nUnderstanding of one of PTC’s core products, such as Creo Parametric, ThingWorx, or Windchill a plus!\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, technology, instructional design, or other scientific field, or associate’s degree with relevant work experience.\nProactive communication and grammar!\nAbility to work East coast hours\nAt PTC, we believe in the power of diverse ideas and perspectives.
