As part of its commitment to responsible development, Imerys promotes environmentally friendly products and processes in addition to supporting its customers in their decarbonization efforts.\nImerys is listed on Euronext Paris (France) with the ticker symbol NK.PA.\n\nThe Position\nMaintenance Assistant\n\nJob Summary\n\nKEY FOCUS & RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nPerform work safely\nDaily repair and maintenance of all plant equipment (production, administration, warehouse, etc.) as directed by Maintenance Mechanic.\nSupport of any process improvement project work\nGenerate/complete maintenance work orders via CMMS platform (SAP)\nUnderstand production processes to identify and correct any inefficiency\nWork towards becoming the technical expert for all production related equipment\nSupport production activities to reduce downtime and increase efficiency\nOffer suggestions for continuous process improvements\nGood understanding of electric wiring and repairs\nExperienced in welding, grinding, parts fabrication, and machining\nIntroductory knowledge of electrical, controls, instrumentation\nBasic computer skills including email, MS Office Suite/Google Suite, online applications\n\nSKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIREMENTS:\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to organize priorities\nStrong mechanical aptitude\nMust be able to work well with others and follow directions\nAbility to write and communicate clearly and effectively on work orders and safety improvement recommendations\nMust maintain poise under pressure\nMust have basic math comprehension and problem solving skills\nGood physical condition to support movement up 2-4 levels of operation (stairs, ladders, etc.)\nAbility to troubleshoot system performance related issues to solve basic problems and find a safe effective solution\nMust be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, mechanical/electrical drawings and procedure manuals\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:\n\nHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED)\nThree to five years of production maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.\nWelding/fabrication background preferred\nFork truck and JLG lift operation experience preferred\nAbility to work at heights exceeding 50 feet\nPhysical ability to safely operate motorized vehicles (forklift, scissor lift, aerial manlift)\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds routinely throughout the work day\nValid driver’s license\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT:\n\n Regularly works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, and often works near moving mechanical parts, motorized equipment\n\n Daily contact with high temperature materials and equipment conditions\n\n Can be exposed to extreme heat/cold depending on the season\n\nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
