The position requires a strong technical foundation in civil and structural engineering, along with the ability to coordinate across disciplines and mentor other engineers and design staff.\nResponsibilities\nPerform engineering analysis and design for structural steel and concrete foundations in support of natural gas, hydrocarbon, and industrial facilities.\nReview and sign engineering calculations as a Professional Engineer for structural steel and concrete designs, ensuring safety, compliance, and constructability.\nServe as lead project engineer, taking responsibility for project scope of work, budget, and schedule, and ensuring timely delivery of engineering deliverables.\nManage and communicate scope changes effectively with project stakeholders and adjust plans and resources as needed.\nOversee the creation, management, and quality of 3D models and engineering drawings for concrete and structural steel systems.\nPrepare and review detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, technical documents, and engineering studies to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nDevelop and maintain site, architectural, concrete, and structural steel drawings that are clear, compliant, and cost-effective.\nFollow applicable international, state, and industry codes and specifications to produce safe, accurate, and compliant designs.\nCoordinate and exchange technical information with other project discipline leads to ensure integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.\nCollaborate and communicate technical information with clients, internal service groups, architects, owners, vendors, and other third parties.\nDevelop, train, and mentor engineers, drafting personnel, and design staff within the department to build technical capability and support career growth.\nUse structural modeling and analysis software and 3D tools to support design and verification activities, as applicable.\nUtilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports, calculations, schedules, and project documentation.\nPerform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned to support successful project execution.\nEssential Skills\nProfessional Engineer (PE) capable of reviewing and signing structural steel and concrete engineering calculations.\nStrong background in civil engineering with hands-on experience in steel structure and concrete design.\nThorough understanding of AISC, ACI 318, IBC, and ASCE 7 codes and standards.\nExperience performing engineering analysis and design for structural steel and concrete foundations.\nAbility to lead projects, including responsibility for scope of work, budget, and schedule.\nProficiency in preparing and reviewing detailed engineering calculations, design drawings, technical documents, and engineering studies.\nWorking knowledge of 3D design tools and AutoCAD for developing and managing models and drawings.\nWorking knowledge of Bluebeam for drawing review, markup, and collaboration.\nWorking knowledge of STAAD structural modeling and analysis software (preferred).\nProficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and related applications.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to coordinate and exchange technical information with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.\nStrong analytical skills to evaluate structural performance, code compliance, and design options.\nExperience in civil and structural engineering within industrial environments such as natural gas, hydrocarbon, or heavy manufacturing facilities (natural gas preferred).\nAdditional Skills & Qualifications\nExperience as a senior civil or structural engineer is preferred; intermediate-level engineers will also be considered.\nbackground in the natural gas industry is preferred, with consideration given to candidates from heavy manufacturing or similar industrial sectors.\nExperience mentoring and training engineers, drafting personnel, and design staff.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.\nComfort working with clients, architects, owners, vendors, and other third parties in a collaborative, project-based environment.\nRelocation support is available for candidates who are willing to move for this role.\nWork Environment\nThis position is based in an office environment and requires working on-site five days per week.
