{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"dfee7430b67b2d8a47cdc4dd","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dfee7430b67b2d8a47cdc4dd","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/dfee7430b67b2d8a47cdc4dd","title":"Blaster","description":"Position Overview\nAs our Blaster, you will directly lead or assist in the design, layout, preparation and detonation of blasts at customer locations to meet the established customer requirements while ensuring safety and compliance on the job.\n\nResponsibilities of the Position\n\nWhile carrying out daily responsibilities safety and compliance must be the first priority.\n\nAbility to develop the blast plan for the job site to maximize blast performance to meet customer requirements.\n\nConduct or participate in blast crew meetings to coordinate responsibilities and address safety protocols.\n\nWork with blast crew to verify performance, providing feedback as needed.\n\nReview drill logs to verify drill pattern.\n\nLoad explosives in blast holes by hand, direct drivers to load holes from bulk trucks.\n\nVerify completion of pre-blast inspections to ensure a safe blast area and successful detonation.\n\nDetonate blast, if blaster-in-charge.\n\nComplete all required paperwork, including field blast reports and magazine inventory reports.\n\nCommunicate with site managers and customers regularly to develop strong partnerships.\n\nAdditional duties as needed to provide optimal blasting services and efficient site operations.\n\nQualifications\n\n4-5 years blasting experience in the explosives industry.\n\nMust possess a current Blasting License.\n\nMust be able to meet ATF eligibility requirements as Employee Possessor.\n\nAbility to lead effectively and communicate professionally.\n\nEfficient with Microsoft Outlook, blasting software and equipment.\n\nMust be able to work outside in all weather conditions and perform physically strenuous work on a daily basis, including lifting 50+ pounds of product and material, pulling hoses, stooping, bending, climbing, shoveling.\n\nAbility to obtain CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements to support site operations.\n\nAvailable to work long hours as needed to meet customer objectives.\n\nPay and Benefits\nWe offer a competitive starting pay rate based on experience.
