Reporting to the Director, S&OP / Planning and leading a team of site-based Production & Supply Planners, this role ensures raw materials, components, and capacity are aligned to produce a reliable, achievable production plan at every facility. The MRP Manager will also play a lead role in defining and organizing the company’s transition to a new ERP/MRP platform, ensuring planning processes, data, and reporting are standardized and ready to scale across sites.\nResponsibilities:\nLead cross-site MRP and production planning, directly managing the Production & Supply Planners at each manufacturing site (East, West, and NYC) to ensure a consistent, coordinated planning approach.\nOwn the accuracy and integrity of the Master Production Schedule at each site, ensuring alignment with the consolidated demand plan, raw-material and component availability, and equipment capacity.\nPartner with the Director, S&OP / Planning in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process, reconciling the network-wide demand plan with production capacity and supply constraints.\nStandardize MRP planning parameters and best practices across all sites, including safety stock levels, reorder points, lot sizing, and lead times.\nHelp define and organize the company’s ERP/MRP system transition: document current-state planning processes, define future-state requirements, and translate them into system configuration in partnership with IT and finance stakeholders.\nLead data readiness for the ERP/MRP transition, including item master, bill of materials, routing, and lead-time data across all sites, and coordinate data migration, testing, and validation.\nOwn user acceptance testing and training for site planners during the ERP/MRP transition, and drive adoption and change management through go-live and stabilization.\nCoach, develop, and manage the performance of the Production & Supply Planner team across sites, setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.\nMonitor and report planning KPIs across the network (schedule adherence, on-time delivery, inventory turns, and plan-to-actual variance), leading root-cause analysis and corrective action.\nPartner with purchasing to resolve material shortages and align supply commitments with the production plan, with particular attention to long-lead-time and shelf-life-sensitive raw materials and components.\nIdentify and help resolve capacity constraints across sites, prioritizing production and coordinating trade-offs with site leadership and the Director, S&OP / Planning.\nServe as the subject-matter expert on MRP/ERP planning logic and system configuration; troubleshoot data integrity issues and drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy.\nSupport analysis of how the long-term forecast impacts equipment capacity across the network, informing new-project site assignments and future equipment needs.\nEnsure each site maintains a firm four-week production schedule, providing planners with the data and direction needed to hold the plan.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, business, engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or MRP within a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.\nExperience planning across multiple manufacturing sites strongly preferred.\nHands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite); experience leading or supporting an ERP/MRP implementation or system transition strongly preferred.\nStrong working knowledge of MRP logic, bills of materials, routings, capacity planning, and materials management principles.\nExperience in personal care, cosmetics, CPG, nutraceutical, or other FDA-regulated contract manufacturing (CDMO) strongly preferred.\nProven people-management skills, with the ability to lead and develop a distributed, site-based planning team.\nStrong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional and cross-site stakeholders.\nOrganized, detail-oriented, and able to manage in a complex, fast-paced, multi-site environment.\nAPICS/ASCM certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.\nAbility to travel to Prime Matter Labs manufacturing sites (East, West, and NYC) as needed.\n\nBenefits:\nCompetitive compensation package\nHealth, dental, and vision benefits\n401K program\nThe spirit of a startup with the security of an established, profitable industry leader\nThe opportunity to make waves in a $250B industry\nPaid time off and company-observed holidays\n\nPhysical Requirements\n• Primarily office-based work environment during regular business hours.\n• Frequent use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.\n• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (files, binders, or office materials).\n• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed throughout the workday.\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nPrime Matter Labs is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
