Training and Development Specialist

Job Description We are currently searching for a Health and Safety Training Manager to join our client's team. This role will focus on training coordination, LMS administration, training documentation and compliance tracking, onboarding support, and continuous improvement of safety training programs and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting EH&S or compliance-related training initiatives and be comfortable working with digital learning systems, training records, and process improvement projects.ResponsibilitiesSupport administration and coordination of EH&S training programs and employee qualifications/certificationsMaintain and update LMS training records, reporting, and user accessAssist with transitioning and organizing training materials into digital systems and standardized workflowsDevelop and update training materials, presentations, process documentation, and work instructionsSupport onboarding and recurring compliance training initiativesTrack employee training completions, certifications, and compliance requirementsPartner cross-functionally with EH&S, operations, and leadership teams to support training and compliance effortsAssist with process improvement initiatives related to training systems, documentation, and reportingSupport audits and compliance documentation preparation as neededUtilize Excel and Microsoft Office tools for reporting, tracking, and documentation managementQualificationsMust reside in CaliforniaExperience supporting safety, EH&S, compliance, or operational training programsExperience with LMS platforms, HRIS systems, or training management systemsStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related systemsExperience supporting onboarding, training coordination, qualifications tracking, or compliance documentationStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsExperience in renewable energy, manufacturing, industrial, construction, oil & gas, logistics, or related operational environments preferredExperience supporting digital training system implementations or process improvements is a plusPreferred BackgroundsEHS Training SpecialistSafety Training CoordinatorLMS AdministratorTraining & Compliance SpecialistEHS Program CoordinatorLearning & Development Specialist with compliance/safety exposureThis is a remote contract opportunity with occasional CA travel.
