We place high value on training and professional development, encouraging you to broaden and strengthen your unique skill sets so you can fully realize your potential.\n\nJob Description\nPerformance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Estimator for its Indianapolis-551 operations based in Carmel, IN.\n\nJob responsibilities include:\n\nPerforming quantitative takeoffs on construction projects\nMaintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing\nSolicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of PCI’s self-performing group\nLearn about market conditions, including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work, and other factors for establishing margin percentages\nBe involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project teams\nParticipate in PSI’s Customer Alignment objectives by creating and maintaining positive customer relations\nLearn the fundamentals of contract administration for secured projects\nUtilize wage and benefit schedules\nAssist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations team\nAssist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s)\nSupport other members of the Estimating team for product line collaboration\nThis position is safety-sensitive.\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\nBasic Requirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, a similar discipline, or comparable relevant work experience\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word) and Bluebeam Revu\nPossess working knowledge of estimating techniques and computer takeoff software\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to exercise sound judgment and maintain integrity in decision-making\nAbility to work effectively in a team environment\nWillingness to continue learning new technical skills and developing existing skillsets\nStrong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities\nMotivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative\nWorks well under pressure and deadlines\nMust have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills\nAbility to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently\nPreferred Requirements\n\nUnderstanding of the bidding process and reading/interpreting specifications and drawings is a plus\nOSHA certification\nBenefits\nAt Performance Contracting, our employees are our greatest asset.
