Controller","description":"Assistant Controller\nLocation: Cincinnati, OH\nPay: $100K\nJob Description\nManage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliations.\nLead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.\nPrepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP.\nMaintain and strengthen internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial accuracy.\nOversee cost accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, production cost analysis, and variance reporting.\nPartner with operations and manufacturing teams to analyze production costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and operational performance.\nAssist with annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and strategic analysis.\nSupport external audits by preparing documentation, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring compliance requirements are met.\nEnsure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop and implement accounting best practices and process improvements.\nSupervise, train, and mentor accounting team members as assigned.\nProvide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\n5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3+ years in a manufacturing environment.\nCPA certification.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, and financial reporting requirements.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Plex, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms\nStrong understanding of banking processes, financial analysis, and accounting systems.\nExperience with inventory accounting, manufacturing costs, and operational performance analysis.\nWorking knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong attention to detail with the ability to make sound business decisions.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent written and
