The Data Analyst will work closely with program analysts and internal staff to perform data cleaning, integration, validation, reporting, and dashboard support. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights in a fast-paced federal consulting environment.Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerforms data cleaning, integration, validation, and preparation of standardized analytic filesSupports dashboard updates, maintenance, and routine reporting across program workstreamsDevelops and maintains databases, data collection systems, and analytic workflows that optimize efficiency and data qualityIdentifies, analyzes, and interprets trends and patterns in complex datasetsReviews data outputs, reports, and performance indicators to identify and resolve data quality issuesCollaborates with program analysts and internal staff to ensure data outputs meet project requirements and timelinesAssists with preparation of data summaries, visualizations, and materials for stakeholder reviewSupports internal knowledge management and documentation of data processes and methodologiesRequired Qualifications2–4 years of relevant data analysis experienceMust be willing and able to work onsite in Washington, DCStrong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with accuracy and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, or similar toolsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentMust be authorized to work in the United StatesAll contractor personnel must pass a background check with no evidence of federal, state, or local felony charges or convictions prior to assignmentPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldKnowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, SAS)Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel)Experience with reporting and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Experience supporting federal or state-funded initiativesFamiliarity with data governance practices and principlesAdditional InformationSafal Partners is committed to supporting your mental, emotional, and physical health and wellbeing.
