There are occasional in-person technology summits for training, development, and team building.\nWork Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. **Sponsorship is not available at this time.\nAs a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:\nDevelop high-quality software design and architecture\nIdentify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle\nDevelop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code\nAutomate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting\nReview and debug code\nPerform validation and verification testing\nCollaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products\nDocument development phases and monitor systems\nEnsure software is up-to-date with latest technologies\nRequirements:\nRequired qualifications:\nBachelors of Science/Arts in Computer Science or related degree\n4+ years experience developing complex software in C\nMust be a cool human being and enjoy working on limit pushing projects\nExtensive experience in software development, scripting, and project management\nKnowledge of additional programming languages (C++, Python, etc.)\nExperience working with real-time operating systems\nFamiliarity with schematics and digital/analog circuit design\nExperience with modern revision controls tools (i.e. SVN, git, etc.)\nAbility to work independently and as a team\nExcellent organization and leadership skills\nStellar communication and proven problem solving skills\nPreferred qualifications:\nExperience with low powered/battery powered and wireless devices\nExperience with ARM microcontrollers\nKnowledge of/Experience with Docker\nDevelopment + Testing experience\nExperience with Machine Learning and/or Hardware Design\nIn-depth knowledge of relational and time-series databases\nWhy Waites?\nAt Waites, we offer an attractive base salary with an excellent bonus potential.
