This includes overseeing member donations, recruiting and managing volunteers, coordinating with site administrators, and organizing activities and resources to support food security for children in the community.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProgram Management:\nCoordinate logistics for summer lunch program sites, including apartment complexes and neighborhood locations.\nDevelop and implement games, activities, and educational programming for children at program sites.\nManage the collection, organization, and distribution of donations from members and external partners.\nVolunteer Coordination:\nRecruit, onboard, train, and manage volunteers, ensuring roles are clearly defined and effectively executed.\nMaintain a schedule of volunteer activities and provide ongoing support during the program.\nCommunity Engagement:\nBuild and maintain relationships with site administrators, ensuring smooth program operations.\nCollaborate with businesses, schools, churches, and community groups to secure additional programming, resources, or donations.\nRepresent the YMCA in a professional and positive manner during all community interactions.\nAdministrative Duties:\nTrack and report on program progress, including participation data and donation metrics.\nEnsure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures, including safety and risk management.\nMonitor program budget and expenses, making cost-effective decisions while maintaining program quality.\nSupervisors and administrators will:\nFollow employee's and volunteers' screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.\nProvide employees and volunteers with ongoing supervision and training related to abuse risk.\nProvide employees and volunteers with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with children and teens.\nRequire employees and volunteers to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.\nQualifications and Skills:\nStrong belief in the YMCA’s mission and values.\nProven organizational and project management skills.\nExperience working with volunteers or community programs preferred.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nProficiency in basic computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).\nPhysical ability to lift and move supplies, set up program areas, and be on-site at various locations.\nWork Environment:\nThis position requires on-site coordination at program locations and occasional irregular hours.
