NHLBI provides global leadership for research, training, and education programs to promote the prevention and treatment of heart, lung, and blood diseases and enhance the health of all individuals so that they can live longer and more fulfilling lives. GDIT provides its clients at the NHLBI with project management and business process improvement support. You will directly support the mission of the NHLBI Project Management Office (PMO) to enhance the Institute’s project management skills by supporting high-priority, complex projects; developing project management tools and templates; developing training and guidance materials; and providing consultative advice to project leads, as needed.Position is remote but requires the ability to come to Bethesda or Rockville for meetings as needed. You must reside within commuting distance to the NIH Main Campus in Bethesda, MD.\nHOW A FUNCTIONAL ANALYST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT\nSupport agenda development and capture and distribute informal and formal meeting minutes, with action items and decisions. Discussion in meetings often includes complex scientific concepts and terminology.\nRecord and track action items through completion.\nIdentify, track, and record risks, as well as mitigation measures and ensure proper elevation to key stakeholders and decision makers.\nFacilitate and coordinate program meetings.\nAssist with development and management of program charters, plans, and timelines.\nAssist with development of program materials and content for program briefings and meetings.\nDevelop dissemination strategies and action plans for key work products related to the program or project.\nFacilitate program management and knowledge management by managing a shared document repository.\nAssist with government financial tracking and reporting.\nProvide support to integrate cross-functional work across NHLBI and NIH Work Groups\nWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\nBachelor’s degree in an applicable field (e.g., science, public health, business or project management). Masters degree preferred\nMinimum of 3+ years of demonstrable experience in portfolio, program, and project management support.
