Job Title: Medical Equipment SpecialistLocation: Naval Health Clinic Hawaii – MakalapaCitizenship Requirement: U.S. CitizenEmployment Type: ContractPosition SummaryThe Medical Equipment Specialist provides comprehensive inventory, logistics, and material handling support to the Command and Marine Corps Base Hawaii medical clinics and annexes. This role ensures accurate tracking of accountable property, proper equipment distribution, and compliance with Federal, DoD, and Defense Health Agency (DHA) supply procedures.Minimum RequirementsEducationHigh School DiplomaExperienceProficiency using Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to communicate effectively in English (read, write, speak, understand)Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periodsExperience with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, handheld terminals (HHTs), and barcode scannersKnowledge of Federal, DoD, and DHA supply regulations and proceduresCertifications / Licensure / Board CertificationNone required beyond Basic Life Support if applicableCitizenshipMust be a U.S. CitizenKey ResponsibilitiesInventory & Property ManagementProvide inventory services for accountable property across all commodity classes.Review daily hand receipts, acquisition documents, invoices, and receipts for completeness and accuracy; report and document discrepancies.Assist with updating property information in the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.Support quarterly command inventory by validating property location, custodian accuracy, and barcode authenticity.Property Transfer & DocumentationTransfer excess property and equipment weekly and prepare corresponding transfer documents.Maintain complete property files and record all actions accurately.Material Handling & DistributionStage and load equipment and property of varying sizes onto delivery vehicles; ensure proper weight distribution to prevent load shifting.Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and manual handling techniques when loading buildings without docks.Ensure materials are loaded safely to prevent damage; obtain signatures for delivered items and file documentation.Supply Chain SupportCoordinate daily distribution of supplies and equipment and support the disposal of excess material.Inspect supply shipments from Medical Prime Vendor, GSA, and other purchasing sources.Training & ComplianceAttend all mandatory training, including:Monthly process improvement meetingsMonthly stand-downsAnnual IT systems upgrade trainingCommand annual trainingEnsure adherence to Federal, DoD, and DHA supply policies and procedures.Preferred SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently and maintain high levels of organizationStrong communication and customer service skillsComfortable working in a warehouse and clinical logistics environmentFor more information contact:Betty Fisk314-744-4130Betty_Fisk@spectrumhealth.comCompany Overview:At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
