Our Structural Engineering portfolio includes schools, water treatment plants, universities, environmental structures, and many other types of facilities. With such a variety of work, you’ll stay engaged and be continually challenged.\nResponsibilities\nProvide professional services for a wide variety of projects. Services to include design development, final design, construction administration, and forensic engineering.\nDesign structural systems of wood, masonry, structural steel, steel joists, concrete (reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete), and light gage steel.\nDesign deep and shallow foundation systems in a variety of geologic conditions, including collapsible soils and expansive soils.\nPerform structural design of water and waste water treatment facilities, including watertight structures.\nLead specific tasks of large projects and manage smaller projects.\nMaintain existing client relationships and pursue relationships with new clients.\nAssist in identifying, evaluating, pursuing, and managing project opportunities.\nProvide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.\nMaintain budgets and schedules of project assignments.\nCoordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nBasic\nBachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field\nRegistration as a Professional Engineer in primary state of residence or ability to obtain within 6 months\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nExperience with structural analysis programs\nAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development\nAbility to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members\nKnowledge of regional design standards, construction practices, and geologic concerns\nAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.\nPreferred\nMaster's degree in structural engineering or related field\nDemonstrated experience using Revit\n6+ years of experience\nProject management experience\nKnowledge of project financials\nPhysical\nAbility to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain\nAbility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time\nOccasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist\nOccasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds\nAbility to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.\nMay be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear\nMay require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload\nMay be required to travel to off-site locations including occasion\nWhy AE2S\nAE2S is an employee-owned engineering consulting firm focused on solving complex water challenges.
