This role supports both HR and Safety (EHS) functions and plays a meaningful role in recruiting, onboarding, training delivery, compliance, and employee engagement.\n\nIf you’re organized, approachable, comfortable speaking in front of groups, want hands-on exposure to how HR works in a manufacturing setting and can work on-site - this could be a great fit!\n\nLocation: Chittenango, NY\nDepartment: Human Resources\nEmployment Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)\nPay: $70,000 - $85,000 – Compensation will be evaluated depending on candidates’ knowledge, skills, and abilities.\nTravel: 10-15%\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing:\n\nRecruiting & Onboarding\nPost job openings, track applicants, and coordinate interviews\nSupport pre-employment processes (screenings, references, documentation)\nPrepare new hire packets and help deliver a smooth, welcoming orientation experience\nMaintain accurate recruiting and onboarding records in HR systems\n\nTraining & Safety Support\nSchedule, coordinate, and conduct employee training sessions, including:\nNew hire orientation\nHR policy and compliance training\nSafety refreshers and required certifications\nPrepare training materials, attendance records, and follow-up documentation\nAssist with safety programs such as PPE distribution, hearing/vision testing, and respirator fit testing coordination\nSupport monthly safety meetings and related documentation\n\nHR Administration & Employee Support\nMaintain personnel files and employee records with accuracy and confidentiality\nRespond to basic employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures\nAssist with benefits documentation and employee communications\nSupport payroll accuracy by collecting time data or processing basic updates\nHelp coordinate company events, recognition efforts, and engagement activities\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\n\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred\nAssociate degree or equivalent experience considered for strong candidates\nPrior HR or administrative experience is helpful\nExperience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred\nTraining facilitation or presentation experience is a plus\n\nSkills & Strengths\nStrong organization and attention to detail\nComfortable speaking in front of small to mid-sized groups\nClear, professional communication style\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn HRIS and safety systems\n\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nOffice and manufacturing floor environment\nAbility to work on-site at the Chittenango facility\nRequired PPE in plant areas (safety glasses and steel-toe footwear)\n\nWhy Join Us?\nYou’ll gain hands-on HR experience in a collaborative manufacturing environment where HR plays a visible and impactful role.
