Responsibilities will include conducting pre-examination tests, maintaining ophthalmic instruments, and assisting with vision tests and measurements. They may also conduct contact lens education including insertion and removal training. provide patient education on lens care, frame adjustments, and contact lens handling.ResponsibilitiesInitiate patient evaluation, documenting the chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, and all pertinent ocular findings accurately and in accordance with compliance guidelinesPerform other tests as requested by doctorAssist with fitting contact lenses and instruct patients in care and insertion of lensesComplete requests for prescription refills as authorized by physician, with full documentation in patient chartOpen and close exam lanes daily, ensuring that equipment is wiped down in an appropriate manner and as per office procedures, battery powered instruments are seated properly in re-charge wells, slit lamps and projectors are switched off under coversMaintain and conduct inventory of medications (if applicable) and supplies including contact lens trials and supportive materialsFollow all safety procedures as per guidelinesMust prioritize building and maintaining a positive relationship with doctors and clinical colleaguesExecutes duties of position in a professional and courteous mannerHandles sensitive information in a confidential mannerPerforms other tasks and duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience as an optometric technician is preferred but not requiredPossess strong communication and interpersonal skillsWell-organized, team-player with great attention to detailDemonstrate superior computer skillsHighly energetic with positive attitudeMust be able to walk and stand for eight hoursMust be able to type or write legibly in a dimly lit settingOutstanding interpersonal skills as well as a neat and professional appearanceMust be willing to travel to other offices occasionally to meet the demands of businessIn Turn We Will ProvideBenefits to full-time team members that include comprehensive medical, dental and optical coverage, 401K and short- and long-term disabilityCompany paid life insurancePaid holidays and generous paid time offPaid parking where applicableTeam oriented working environment where you are heard and respectedClear career ladder opportunitiesOffered pay: $23–$25 per hour.#ESP2
