The above represents the standard Corporate Policy\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupervises daily activities of all operators and coordinates the activities of supervisors and dispatch personnel.\nOversees scheduling of operators, monitors operations and coordinates delivery of service with superiors.\nWorks closely with the maintenance department to ensure that all operation service requirements are met.\nTrack, compile and analyze performance; handle interdepartmental issues; resolve employee issues and grievances; improve processes and route scheduling.\nMakes hiring decisions for authorized roles; evaluates the work performance of staff; ensures the timely and efficient completion of all assigned tasks.\nAssists in accident/incident investigation, including any needed on-site assistance and support to safety and training personnel.\nCoordinates with the safety and training department to ensure all safety goals and directives are met.\nDevelops Operations department budget.\nMay operate a vehicle in revenue service, if necessary.\nMaintain confidentiality of all information\nOther duties as required.\nTravel requirement outside of immediate area (less than 10%):\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree required\n3 or more years of relevant transit supervisory experience required\nThorough knowledge of transit system applicable laws, ordinances and regulations governing transit operations\nWorking knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and relevant database programs\nGood written and oral communication skills\nAbility to organize and perform work efficiently, strong attention to details\nAbility to work effectively with labor; may include labor grievances and negotiations\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\nPhysical Requirements:\nThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:\nWork outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions, work alone and in remote locations.\nSit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces\nPush and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\nWithstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
