Field Network & POS Technician - Travel-Ready & Hands-On

Job Title: Flexible Projects for Retail Field, POS & Network Technicians Reports to: Territory Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Updated Date: 01/10/2026 Field Technicians, POS Technicians & Network technicians encouraged to apply. Technicians handle implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and or repairing networks/networked devices such as access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems. Smart Lock access, set up and troubleshoot connections in many environments, connecting them with physical cables or wireless frequencies to create adequate signal strength throughout a location for client use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Current driver’s license, insurance, and a vehicle. Previous IT or related technical technician experience is required. Technically inclined—experience with cabling runs, management, testing, terminating, network provisioning. Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email. Frequent use of hand tools. Travel required in various markets. Lifting 60 lbs or more. Able to climb up and down ladders. Testing networks, Wi‑Fi signals, heat mapping. Installing and troubleshooting access points, routers, switches. Competency Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills. Superior knowledge of various networking technologies. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Required Education and Experience Over the age of 18. Certifications are a plus but not required. All training is provided. Physical Demands Travel required. Ability to lift 60 pounds on occasion. Reaching above head for items. Ability to use a computer and telephone system. Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead. POS experience is a plus. Work Environment Various environments with average to high noise and lighting levels. Facility ceiling space and crawl spaces.
