Senior GIS Analyst – Transform a Statewide Program (Hybrid | Michigan)We are seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to play a pivotal role in transforming how leak survey programs are designed and executed across the state.This is not a typical GIS role — this is a high-impact, technical leadership opportunity where you'll help redesign a statewide framework that directly supports regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.If you thrive in complex data environments and enjoy solving large-scale spatial challenges, this is an opportunity to make a real difference.Location & FlexibilityHybrid role based out of a Michigan Service Center (Lansing, MI preferred)Remote work available Wednesdays & Fridays (most weeks)What You'll Be DoingLead the redesign of statewide leak survey boundaries, schedules, and inspection frequenciesApply advanced GIS analysis to restructure and optimize existing survey frameworksServe as a GIS subject matter expert across Compliance, Engineering, and OperationsPerform complex data segmentation, cleanup, and standardization of gas distribution assetsResolve data inconsistencies and improve overall GIS data integritySupport regulatory reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives (MPSC, PHMSA)Drive data governance, quality standards, and continuous improvement effortsWhat We're Looking ForStrong experience with ESRI ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, etc.)Advanced skills in spatial analysis, data modeling, and GIS data managementExperience working with utility networks, infrastructure data, or compliance-driven programsHigh proficiency in Excel and data analysisAbility to work independently and solve complex, ambiguous problemsStrong attention to detail and ability to balance accuracy with deadlinesNice to HaveExperience with Survey123, SAP, or enterprise work management systemsBackground in utilities, engineering, or integrity management programsExperience supporting audits or regulatory reportingStrong communication skills with the ability to explain complex GIS conceptsWhy This Role Stands OutOpportunity to own and transform a statewide GIS programHigh visibility across compliance, engineering, and operations teamsWork on initiatives that directly impact public safety and infrastructure integrityBlend of technical depth, strategy, and leadership
