Learning Specialist

Stanbridge Academy is seeking a skilled and collaborative Education Specialist to support students with mild to moderate learning differences, including specific learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, and related needs. This role is ideal for an educator who excels in IEP case management, specialized academic instruction, coaching faculty and coordination with LEA partners.The Learning Specialist is our school liaison with school district IEP's and our faculty. Training and ongoing support of our faculty is an integral part of the position. Reporting to the Head of School, the Learning Specialist works closely with faculty to offer support and training on use of best practice for modifying student work in the classroom. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as IEP Case Manager for students with mild/moderate support needsCoordinate and facilitate IEP meetings with LEA representatives, families, and service providersAct as liaison between the Stanbridge Academy and partner school districts (LEAs)Work with faculty to monitor and report student progress toward IEP goalsCollaborate with classroom teachers, specialists and other providers to implement accommodations and supportsSupport students with organization, study skills, and self-advocacyEnsure compliance with IDEA, California Education Code, and SELPA requirementsMaintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentationQualificationsValid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential – Mild/Moderate Prior experience working with students with learning differences and executive functioning challengesStrong knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and NPS processesDemonstrated ability of managing student data with confidentialityExcellent listening, speaking and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work collaborativelyCommitment to supporting and furthering developing a strengths-based approach to learning support at Stanbridge AcademyBachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferredPreferred SkillsExperience in a Nonpublic School (NPS) Familiarity with structured literacy, academic interventions, and scaffolding strategiesStrong organizational and case management skillsExperience with IEP systems such as SEIS or similar platformsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experience and credentials $75,000-$115,000Health, dental,vision and retirement benefitsPaid holidays and school breaksProfessional development and supportStanbridge Academy is a caring, inclusive K-12 school for students with mild to moderate learning differences and social communication disorders.
