Construction General Laborer - Class A CDL

Whether we’re preparing a site for construction, digging utilities, or shaping landscapes, we approach each project with professionalism, precision, and respect for the communities we serve.Reasons You'll Love Working on Our TeamFull benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) MatchingWork primarily in the local Indianapolis areaPaid time off and Overtime Pay availableOn-the-job trainingCareer growth and advancement opportunities with Competitive salariesHome almost every weekend and most eveningsWork for an innovative-thinking and safety conscious CompanyCompany Moto: Whether we’re preparing a site for construction, digging utilities, or shaping landscapes, we approach each project with professionalism, precision, and respect for the community!Key ResponsibilitiesOperate Class A commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites safely and efficiently.Assist with loading and securing materials, tools, and machinery in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.Perform general construction labor tasks, including trenching, grading, pipe installation support, backfilling, and site cleanup.Work alongside equipment operators and crew members to support excavation, utility installation, and roadway or site development activities.Assist with setup and maintaining traffic control systems, signage, and barricades to ensure a safe work zone for workers and the public.Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections on trucks and trailers, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.Follow all DOT, company, and job‑site safety protocols, including PPE requirements, trench safety, and equipment operation guidelines.Assist with routine maintenance of tools, small equipment, and job‑site materials to keep operations running smoothly.Support the crew with material handling, equipment spotting, and other tasks as directed by supervisors or foremen.Maintain accurate logs, delivery records, and documentation as required for CDL compliance.Uphold housekeeping and site organization standards to ensure an efficient and safe work environment.Required QualificationsValid CDL Class A licenseClean MVR and a DOT physical or ability to obtain one upon employmentMust be willing to work occasional overtimeExperience with hauling (machinery on trailer)Willing to attend training classes for industry updates as well as refresher coursesStrong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.1 + year experience in manual labor or outdoor work.Permanent residence within commutable distance of work site.Work ConditionsOutdoor construction environment; may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions.Frequent bending, lifting (up to 75 lbs), standing, and working in confined spaces or trenches.BenefitsHealth insuranceVision insuranceDental insurance401(k)401(k) matchingPaid time offOn-the-job trainingOpportunities for advancementCompensationCompetitive wage range $25.00 to $30.00 based on experienceAnnual Performance Review with Potential Salary IncreasePaid vacation and HolidaysDiscretionary Quarterly Bonus ProgramCompany shirts providedWeekly Direct DepositJob Type: Full-timeExperience:Driving: 2 years (Preferred)License/Certification:CDL A (Required)Work Location: In person
