Consumer & Retail investment banking Associate role - New York

We’re working with a leading global middle market investment bank’s Consumer & Retail team based in New York. The C&R coverage team has experienced great growth and development over the past few years and is now looking to make one Associate hire. The team has great coverage across several sub-sectors including Consumer health and personal care, Fitness, Food and beverage, Grocery retail and distribution, Specialty retail and distribution.The successful Associate candidate would have a strong investment banking background, with exposure to both M&A and capital markets. Consumer sector experience is beneficial, but not essential, though a strong interest in the space would be needed. The successful candidate would in return enjoy great deal flow exposure, a stable team, as well as senior mentorship and exposure.Key Responsibilities:• Execution of M&A transactions, including financial modelling and valuation• Preparation of client materials (pitchbooks, CIMs, board presentations)• Managing diligence processes and coordinating with clients and counterparties• Mentoring Analysts Qualifications:• 3–5 years of experience in investment banking • Consumer sector experience is a benefit, but not essential• Strong technical skillset (LBO, DCF, merger models)• Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environmentWhy this opportunity:• Direct senior-level exposure and meaningful responsibility• Strong deal flow and established name• Work with a strong brand and senior bankers within the Consumer sector• Great culture• Historically strong bonusesIf interested, please apply directly or reach out via DM for a confidential discussion.
