This position will possibly support our Indiana Operations and other Stonhard facilities as the need arises.\nProcess Engineering\nAnalyze current production data.\nHave a hands-on approach to determine solutions to everyday plant issues.\nWork with Maintenance, Plant Engineers and other departments to execute solutions safely, efficiently, and expeditiously.\nImprove manufacturing performance, efficiency, and promote overall plant safety.\nBecome a subject matter expert (SME) on key pieces of manufacturing equipment and analytical process tools.\nProvide technical knowledge and support for all site operations, and train employees on new manufacturing practices as needed.\nEvaluate existing operations by conducting process analysis, time studies, bottle neck analysis, process hazard analysis, etc., utilizing Lean and Six Sigma Tools.\nEngage with operators to find areas of improvement, working closely with Continuous Improvement in assisting in determining the best options for process improvement tactics.\nAnalyze problems to determine root causes. Propose solutions to overcome and correct problems for permanent solutions and analyze output under new practices.\nProject Management\nCreate engineering solutions to problems related to our manufacturing process and facility needs. Utilize sound engineering principles to create these solutions. Work with suppliers and other outside resources to develop the solution into an executable project.\nEvaluate cost analysis and ROI analysis for proposed solutions to determine capital project validity.\nPrepare capital project documentation for submission and review.\nWork with purchasing as required to facilitate projects.\nManage the economics and delivery of assigned capital projects to completion.\nThe above description identifies the primary duties pertaining to this position. Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Chemical)\nExtensive knowledge of commonly used engineering concepts, industry best practices, and procedures within the manufacturing industry.\nExperience with capital project implementation and management.\nStrong understanding of Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills specific to data driven decisions\nHigh Proficiency in Excel.\nProficiency in Windows, Outlook, and AutoCAD.\nStrong written, communication and presentation skills especially in group or high-level settings.\nPreferred Requirements\nManufacturing experience.\nGreen Belt Certification.\nPhysical Requirements\nWhile performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.\nThe employee is frequently required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
