Laser Operators are a vital part of production, helping form and cut parts by operating machinery safely and accurately. Team members are assigned to a primary area, but are empowered to cross-train to learn additional machines and grow their skills.\nEssential Duties & Responsibilities Understand and follow all company procedures for safety.\nInspect work pieces to confirm they conform to specifications; adjust machine settings to correct errors.\nFollow technical instructions and interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.\nDiscern quality of parts and materials used in production.\nTest finished products for defects.\nMaintain the tools used to create products.\nKeep a clean and well-maintained workspace.\nQualifications Education High school diploma or GED strongly preferred\nSpecialized Knowledge & Experience Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, and instructions from supervisors/managers.\nNo experience required, but successful candidates must have the mechanical aptitude to manufacture high-quality parts.\nSkills & Abilities MUST BE DEPENDABLE our customers count on us to get the job done and it takes every one of us.\nStrong interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with a wide variety of internal personnel.\nAbility to problem solve and troubleshoot.\nAbility to interact professionally, appropriately, and courteously with customers, co-workers, and other outside parties.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nMust show concern for quality and practice continuous improvement.\nPhysical Requirements & Safety Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nStand and walk for extended periods; use hands to finger/handle/feel; reach with hands and arms; crouch and kneel; talk and hear.\nRegularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally 50 pounds.\nVision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.\nSafety is of utmost importance.
