It's what we do.\nPosition Overview\nCornerstone Information Systems is seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and strengthen the financial foundation of our SaaS and solutions-based business.\nReporting to the EVP, Finance, the Controller will play a key leadership role in overseeing accounting execution, financial reporting, internal controls, audit readiness, and process optimization. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys both managing core accounting responsibilities and building better processes for the future.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and scalability.\nOversee general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and core accounting functions including A/R, A/P, payroll accounting, and cash management.\nEnsure appropriate revenue recognition, deferrals, billing accuracy, and alignment with customer contracts and recurring revenue models.\nPrepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and actionable insights.\nPartner with the EVP, Finance on budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and key SaaS/operational metrics.\nDesign, maintain, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, documentation, and audit readiness practices.\nOwn and optimize accounting systems and workflows, including ERP, billing, payroll, AP, and AR platforms.\nDrive automation and process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.\nPartner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, HR, RevOps, and other teams to support data integrity and business decision-making.\nManage, coach, and develop accounting team members.\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience\nBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.\nCPA certification is not required, but is a plus.\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting management experience, including general ledger, close, and financial reporting responsibilities.\nPrior experience in SaaS, technology, or solutions-based business models strongly preferred.\nExperience in a growth-stage or evolving organization preferred.\nPrior experience leading, mentoring, or developing team members preferred.\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong knowledge of GAAP, including revenue recognition and deferrals.\nExperience with financial close processes, audit support, and financial statement preparation.\nAbility to interpret and apply accounting treatment to customer contracts and business transactions.\nExperience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or SAP.\nFamiliarity with integrated financial tools, including billing, AP/AR, and payroll platforms.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to work across large datasets and multiple systems.\nDemonstrated ability to improve workflows, automate processes, and scale financial operations.\nStrong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\nEffective communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts across the organization.\nSelf-directed problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.\nUnderstanding of SaaS and recurring revenue business models.\nComfort operating in a growing, evolving environment with increasing complexity.\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nCornerstone Information Systems is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
