The position will be responsible for software and system level testing using Neptune software at the Blossom Point Tracking Facility. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment with complex systems and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nAnalyze requirements, documentation, and confer with internal stakeholders\nVerification and tracking of new features\nCreate and execute automated test scripts to aid in smoke and regression testing\nCreate, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test procedures for feature and regression testing\nTroubleshoot software system issues and work with other developers and testers to resolve test anomalies\nWork as an effective team member across multiple disciplines (e.g. systems engineering, software development, Ops Support)\nSupport the creation of new software releases and system deployments\nTracking software patching and release versions\nProvide On-Call support of operational systems\nAssist in preparing, providing direction, and reviewing relevant documentation to include Software Development Plans (SDPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and generating CM reports\nWork closely with system engineers, government security team and leadership to ensure software design, compliance, and schedule adherence\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS\n\nMust be a US citizen\nMust meet eligibility requirements associated with obtaining a DoD Secret clearance\nMinimum of three (3) years' experience working as a test engineer\nProven ability to identify and troubleshoot potential software defects\nProven ability to effectively communicate with developers to investigate and resolve test anomalies\nExperience designing, developing, and executing test cases\nExperience with cloud computing concepts\nExperience with Linux based operating systems and the command line interface\nExperience with test automation tools\nExperience writing and executing test scripts (e.g., Python)\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS\n\nExperience with performance and stress testing concepts and familiarity with performance measurement tools (e.g., Prometheus, )\nFamiliarity with Satellite Systems, Satellite Operations, and/or Aerospace Engineering concepts\nFamiliarity with continuous integration techniques and technologies\nFamiliarity with Agile development concepts\nFamiliarity with Satellite Ground Hardware (FEPs, Antenna Controllers, Crypto, etc.)\nExperience with Atlassian Software Development and Collaboration Tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket etc.)\nExperience with Object-Orientated Development concepts\nExperience interacting with relational databases (e.g., INFLUXDB)\n\nSpace Ground Systems Solutions (SGSS), a wholly owned subsidiary under the Parsons Corporation, is passionate about making our nation the undisputed leader in Space because we understand that ensuring our security for future generations depends on it.
