Staff Accountant
Location: Bolingbrook, IL 60440 (Hybrid: On-site Monday–Wednesday, Remote Thursday–Friday)Pay: $25.00-27.05/hourHours: Monday–Friday; 8:00 AM–5:00 PMOverviewWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to support month-end close activities, expense management, supplier billing, and financial reporting. This is a 6–9 month contract opportunity with potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.Job DescriptionPerform monthly reconciliations for 40+ General Ledger accountsReview and analyze General Ledger activity and expense fluctuationsAssist with month-end close and financial reporting activitiesPrepare and distribute monthly financial statements and management reportsReconcile supplier accounts and bank depositsReview gross profit postings and executive expense reportsPrepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentationProcess supplier bill-backs, incentive payments, and sales commission programsTrack incentive program submissions and verify payment accuracySubmit approved incentive payouts to payrollPrepare monthly departmental P&L and management reportsAssist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activitiesSupport quarterly corporate reporting requirementsGenerate ad hoc financial reports and analysis for managementRequired SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum 1 year of accounting experience or relevant internship experienceStrong Excel skills, including linking data across systems and advanced reporting functionsExperience with General Ledger reconciliationsUnderstanding of month-end close processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred SkillsSAP experienceConcur experienceConsumer goods, beverage alcohol, distribution, or related industry experienceExperience supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functionsBenefits (employee contribution):Health insuranceHealth savings accountDental InsuranceVision InsuranceFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceRetirement planAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.#IND0626
