AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Key Responsibilities Drive operational security excellence in multiple facilities within a short driving distance. Identify physical security gaps and shortcomings and implement timely fixes. Coordinate with vendors for security construction, repairs, daily operations, patrols, and planning. Extract metrics, observe improvements, and report on hard data. Recommend improvements to electronic surveillance and access controls. Lead efforts to educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions. Write and implement security processes, procedures, reports, and presentations. Communicate status of physical security operations to management. About the Team AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the services they rely on. Your teammates include software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Basic Qualifications Experience as a Program Security Officer, Security Specialist, or Security Manager in personnel, industrial, or physical security disciplines. Experience with access control and CCTV systems. 6+ months experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment. Additional education or training in security-related fields is a plus. Preferred Qualifications College degree (Bachelors) or background in Military, Law Enforcement with Arrest Authority, TSA Security Screening, or Correctional Facility Officer. 2+ years security experience or equivalent. 1+ year leadership experience.
