These positions are full-time, paid positions where you will work on real projects with real results!\n\nPurpose and role of job:\n\nProvide technical skills in the operation and support of the environmental health and safety program to maintain an accident-free work environment and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.\n\nPrincipal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:\n\nPlans and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with FQ local, State and Federal OSHA rules and regulations\nAspires to achieve a zero injury culture through visible support of the injury prevention and safety program\nEnsure required safety training is complete for all team members and training records are maintained.\nParticipate in the new hire safety orientation process\nAssist organization in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities\nConduct regular walk through safety inspections to identify hazards, document findings, recommend corrective actions and follow through to ensure corrections have been made\nAssist in establishing policies for preventive actions through studying incidents and potential risks in general work environments\nEnsure incident investigation, mitigation and reporting process is followed\nBuild and maintain positive working relationships with all team members, vendors and customers\nFacilitate communication of company safety policies, procedures and standards with all visitors, including contractors and vendors\nComplete administrative responsibilities and documentation, including training records, accident/incident reporting, OSHA log updates, employee files and workers compensation claim filing\nAssist in overall workers compensation administration and coordination of the Return-to-Work program for injured team members\nPerform other duties as assigned\n\nEducation and experience requirements:\n\nBachelor’s degree (or demonstrated progress toward a degree) in related field of study\n Minimum 3.0 GPA\n0-3 years of experience, including academic projects\nHighly motivated, strong team player, with good ability to multi-task and re-prioritize as necessary\nStrong problem solving skills.\nStrong interpersonal skills\nStandard knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office programs.\nExcellent verbal and written skills\nAuthorization to work in the U.S.\n\nWork Environment:\n\nIn wet, hot and cold environments inside and outside of the facility\nIn ear, eye and foot protection areas\nUnder pressure of deadlines and manage moderate levels of stress\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nLift up to 25 pounds\nWalk long distances\nClimb steps\nBend, stoop, stretch\nStand for long periods of time\nType and read small print on screen and blueprints/schematics\nAbility to travel as needed to other sites via commercial airline or vehicle\n\nFirst Quality is committed to protecting information under the care of First Quality Enterprises commensurate with leading industry standards and applicable regulations.
