Automate this monitoring to the extent possible\nConduct system backups on an interval agreed upon with the Sponsor\nConduct data archiving on an interval agreed upon with the Sponsor\nPerform system hardening of Linux systems according to information security engineering principles and industry best practices\nMaintain all server, including Windows servers, Linux servers, Oracle database servers, Apache servers, DNS servers, and Domain controllers\nApply server patches and operating system updates in a timely fashion as defined by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Automate this process to the extent possible\nAssist the Sponsor with hardware and software acquisitions and implementation\nEnsure software licenses are renewed as appropriate\nObtain Sponsor waivers as necessary\nSubmit Discrepancy Reports (DR) and Requests for Change (RFC) through the appropriate Sponsor channels\n\nBachelor’s degree or higher in the field of computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or other related technical discipline. If candidate does not have bachelor’s degree, he or she must have five (5) additional years of experience in systems administration, for a total of 10 years.\n\nRequired Skills and Qualifications:\nTo be eligible for this position you must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.\nMinimum 5 years of experience (within the last 10 years) in systems administration\nDemonstrated experience in all the following: Linux servers, Windows servers, Oracle database servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices, and HP servers.\nDemonstrated experience designing, configuring, and installing information systems that include routers, servers, switches, storage systems, and laptops.\n\nDemonstrated experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows based domains.\n\nDesired Skills and Qualifications:\nDemonstrated experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.\nDemonstrated experience in the deployment, provisioning, operations and maintenance of Linux environments running centos and Ubuntu.\nDemonstrated experience working Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies such as ICD503 to ensure system security and data integrity.\n\nPay Rate:\n\nIn compliance with Virginia's Equal Pay for Equal Work law, the annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $240,000. This range represents the base pay for this role and is provided in accordance with Maryland’s requirements to disclose compensation in job postings. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
