Remote eligibility may be delayed based on training or job acclimation needs and remains subject to change based on business needs.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Process & Analytics Engineer for John Deere at the newly constructed A&CS Hebron Distribution Center located in Hebron, IN, you will:Support distribution center operations through detailed, data driven analysis of receiving, storage, and fulfillment processesAnalyze large, complex data sets to identify opportunities and optimize warehouse performanceUse CAD and other engineering visualization tools to support facility layout, process, and equipment improvement initiativesCollaborate within cross functional teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvementPartner directly with warehouse leadership and shop floor employees to improve safety, quality and productivityFacilitate capital projects related to process design, material handling equipment, and facility layouts, including cost/benefit and ROI analysesSupport robotics and automation initiatives, including deployed technologies and future pilot programs VISA Sponsorship is NOT Available for this positionWhat Skills You NeedExperience supporting engineering projects in a factory, warehouse, or industrial environment2 or more years of experience working with advanced Excel functions and medium to large data sets2 or more years of drafting experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD toolsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with experience bringing cross functional teams (including shop floor employees) together to solve business problems Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs for the first 6 monthsWhat Makes You Stand OutProgramming experience in SQL, Python, R, SAS, Java, or similar languagesExperience with SAP EWM or other warehouse management or warehouse control systemsDemonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements that drive measurable gains in safety, quality, productivity, or storage densitySolid understanding of warehouse operations, fulfillment processes, and industry terminologyExperience developing data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar toolsProject management experience in a factory, warehouse, or industrial settingExperience building and presenting business cases to support project approvals or capital investmentsBackground in mechanical design, industrial equipment, or facility infrastructure EducationIdeally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical), Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline or equivalent related work experienceCompetencies To reference the competencies associated with the job posting, please use the Job Description Catalog and search for the GJE job.What You'll GetAt John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
