At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company’s expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it’s materials and processing expertise.\n\nWhat YOU will do\n\nManages all Quality Engineering functions for assigned program(s) or area(s) with some guidance.\nActs as the point of contact for their program to inspectors.\nHas a general understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001 and/or Nadcap requirements.\nEliminates process variation and product defects through creative solutions.\nWorks root cause, corrective action with some guidance using established RCCA tools (PFMEA, DMAIC, 5 WHYs, 8D, etc.).\nSupports regularly scheduled team meetings including Corrective Action Boards, Quality Engagement Council, etc.\nProcesses all nonconformances and workflows in a timely manner.\nTakes on training opportunities as they arise.\nSolicits weekly prioritization of tasks and deliverables that align with business objectives.\nMostly takes direction from cross-functional team members/leaders to execute support actions for the cross-functional team.\nMust be an excellent communicator.\nMust have excellent computer skills (Power-Point, Excel and statistical software tools).\n\nWhat YOU must bring to Succeed\n\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in appropriate science, engineering, or engineering technology field with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or in a production quality role, Or High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years in a manufacturing or in a production quality role.\n\nThis position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person,’ as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.\n\nDesired Characteristics:\nAerospace manufacturing experience.\nQuality experience, including knowledge of ISO9000 or AS9100.\nPositive attitude and leadership characteristics.\nCan work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.\nAble to work both individually and as part of a team.\nExperience with Lean Manufacturing tools.\nGeneral understanding of GD&T for drawing review.\nAbility to work with individuals with diverse backgrounds, experience, and education levels.\nTraining in LEAN, Six Sigma, CI methodologies, and process variation management tools to continuously improve processes (DMAIC).\nSkilled in the application of statistical methods (e.g. hypothesis testing, ANOVA, design of experiments) to draw conclusions from raw data.\nDFSS (Design For Six Sigma). Experience in the design and development of new product introduction.\nWorking knowledge of PPAP and APQP.
