Our technology, combined with our commitment to saving lives and our passion for aviation, will empower everyone to experience the joy and freedom of flight.TECHNICAL WRITER - EL SEGUNDO, CA RESPONSIBILITIES:Interact cross functionally with engineers, project managers, pilots, and other key stakeholders to architect, create, edit, and publish technical documentation such as operating and maintenance manuals, training materials, and moreSupport documentation alignment with version control software, release systems, and Docs-as-Code workflows in order to manage overall documentation qualityDevelop clear and concise documentation to reduce the probability of future error, working with stakeholders to understand user needsGather feedback and consider all relevant data to improve existing and future documentationSupport in organizing, coordinating, and tracking documentation tasks to align with both team and company-wide goalsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelors of Science degree in Communications, STEM, or other related field5+ years of technical writing experience2+ years of experience in the aerospace industryProficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe AcrobatPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with FAA technical publication standards, aviation documentation guidance, and industry specifications, including applicable Advisory Circulars, GAMA guidance, and ATA specificationsExperience working at a startupProduct Launch / Full Lifecycle experienceProficiency with Git, Asciidoctor, VS Code, and Docs-as-Code authoring workflowsExperience using Python and Ruby to support documentation automation, publishing workflows, and custom Docs-as-Code toolingExperience creating and editing technical illustrations from CAD/3D model data using Adobe Illustrator, SolidWorks Composer, or similar tools A portfolio of writing samples to reviewWHY SKYRYSE?The opportunity to change the world through improving aviation safety and accessibility Salary: $95,000 - $125,000Valuable stock option planHeavily subsidized medical, dental and vision plansFull-time employees are eligible for 20 days of paid time off (PTO) and 5 sick days annually.  PTO and sick days must be used in accordance with Company policy.
