Functions as team leader on smaller projects and works under the direction of field supervisors on large projects.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities Including but not limited to:\nAble to safely drive to sites throughout the region\nTrain temporary labor/contractors\nAbility to feel comfortable and professional with team and customers\nMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times\nOutstanding verbal and written communication skills\nProvide leadership and respect to team members\nUphold a strong work ethic and ethical approach to the business\nMust be punctual and self-motivated\nUnderstand installation scope and work processes\nAbility to read plans, blueprints, evaluations and product specifications\nMechanically adept and understands how to safely use tools and equipment\nAbility to show consistent excellent installation skills of furniture, resulting in projects with good workmanship and reflect high quality that meet the dealership’s field standards of performance\nAbility to complete all technical installation operations, including; wall strips, field measuring, in-line step down modifications, product repairs, simple field cuts and product modifications, etc.\nMust be product knowledgeable across all major lines of furniture carried by the dealer\nAbility to specify product and complete small inventories\nKnowledge and understanding of all product application and use\nKnowledge of electricity and electrical hookups to building power; ability to interface with electricians and cabling subcontractors\nTake ownership for projects, results and details including follow through to project completion\nAbility to react to varying project/field conditions and make decisions to resolve problems and changes to the scope of work (as needed)\nConsistent understanding and follow through of accurate paperwork; includes detailed time sheets, client sign-off, punch list items, change orders, product return forms, and inventory check-out, etc.\nEnsure all paperwork is neat, clear, legible, and complete\nAbility to communicate project status, problems and punch-list (in writing) to dispatch, sales personnel, sales support, and to project management personnel\nAbility to plan, organize and effectively direct a crew of installers on projects up to 15 stations in size\nUnderstand the diversity of different projects and prepare accordingly:\nPursue project details and drawings\nAssist scheduling and manpower of all loading for the project\nManage work planning for field conditions, technical complexities and task-to-time efficiencies\nAbility to manage crews of up to 4-6 installers\nFunction as a crew chief under a field supervisor on large or complex projects\nPre-plan small to medium sized projects, including field measurements and site reviews\nAnalyze project for correct tool, supply, equipment and vehicle requirements, including small parts and product pulls from warehouse\nComfortable driving a bobtail or cube truck and can do so safely\nUnderstand furniture material handling and logistical processes\nReceive and document receipt of product in a thorough and accurate manner\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\n4-6 Installers\n\nExperience/Education Required\nValid driver’s license; must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check and Department of Transportation medical physical\nInsurable\nHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience\nMechanical ability; knowledge of hand/power tools\n\nTool Policy\n\nStandard Tools – Personal and Hand Tools\nEmployee is responsible to provide and maintain a tool kit with the necessary tools to perform their job duties. See manager/supervisor to verify essential tools required by role. Employee is expected to\nprotect tools used for work-related purposes from loss, damage or theft. Tools lost, missing, worn, and/or broken must be replaced by the employee.\n\nPower and Specialty Tools\nInsidesource keeps inventory of power and specialty tools for employee use.
