This role requires expertise in application servers, messaging systems, and API management to ensure seamless application interoperability and high availability.\n\nResponsibilities\nLead middleware engineering team supporting enterprise applications\nManage WebLogic, JBoss, and Apache Tomcat application servers\nDesign and implement web services (REST, SOAP) and API gateways\nConfigure and maintain messaging systems (MQ, Kafka)\nImplement and manage service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions\nMonitor middleware performance and implement optimization strategies\nCoordinate with application teams on integration requirements\nManage middleware patching, upgrades, and lifecycle activities\nImplement high availability and disaster recovery configurations\nEnsure middleware security and compliance with DoD standards\nTroubleshoot complex integration issues\nDocument middleware architectures and procedures\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field\nMinimum 8 years of middleware/web development experience\nMinimum 3 years in team leadership role\nCompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)\nOracle Certified Professional (WebLogic) or equivalent certification\nExpert knowledge of Java EE application servers\nExperience with web services and API development\nActive Security Clearance Required\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with containerized middleware (Docker, Kubernetes)\nExperience with API management platforms (Apigee, Kong)\nScripting experience (Python, Bash)\nExperience with microservices architecture\nCloud middleware experience (AWS, Azure)\n\nTechnical Skills\nOracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss, Apache Tomcat\nREST, SOAP, XML, JSON, WSDL\nAPI gateways, ESB, messaging (MQ, Kafka)\nJava EE, Spring Framework\nLoad balancing, clustering, high availability\n\nIPTA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
