This position will be responsible for engine testing and scheduling for an assigned area. It will assess gas‑fired engines for performance and conduct regular checks, troubleshoot engine performance, schedule tests, review reports, and work with maintenance. The position is located in Midland, TX, Monahans, TX, Hobbs, NM, or Carlsbad, NM and reports to the Stack Testing Supervisor.\n\nJOB DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nPerform engine and emission testing on all assigned units on a defined schedule.\n\nWork closely with maintenance and operations staff on scheduling and testing of engines.\n\nWork with maintenance on diagnostic and troubleshooting of engines.\n\nSchedule 3rd party testing with vendors.\n\nHelp enforce quality control on 3rd party vendors.\n\nMaintain required documentation and files.\n\nReview reports for accuracy and completeness.\n\nComplete work in a timely manner and other tasks as assigned.\n\nMINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\nInterpersonal communication skills to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors; ability to work in a self‑directed work team.\n\n2 years of field operations, mechanical, or engine testing experience.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).\n\nAbility to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.\n\nAbility to climb stairs, ladders, and operate a man‑lift.\n\nAbility to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.\n\nAbility to work in changing climate conditions and a plant environment.\n\nAbility to work in close quarters (kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, standing).\n\nFollow and adhere to all applicable PPE guidelines (e.g., eye protection, footwear, Nomex).\n\nFrequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, handling, and reaching with hands and arms.\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nRegular and reliable attendance.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\nExperience in natural gas gathering and processing.\n\nExperience with Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.\n\nExperience working in Maximo.\n\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.\n\nExperience reviewing air permits.\n\nEQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY\nTarga Resources provides equal employment opportunities based on merit, experience, and other work‑related criteria and without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, age, pregnancy, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
