We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Application Developers - Junior for a Full-Time position.\nJob Summary:\nDevelops and enhances federal applications with emphasis on Java-based development and integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to expand functionality and enable data-driven conservation decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\nIntegrate COTS solutions into ECOSphere workflows; collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement enhancements while ensuring a cohesive user experience.\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance ECOSphere software components using Java and other relevant technologies (e.g., .NET, Python) as required by the solution.\nCollaborate with engineering, data, reporting, and domain stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.\nDesign and implement APIs to enable secure data exchange between ECOSphere and external/internal systems.\nConduct rigorous testing/debugging to ensure reliability and robustness (unit/integration testing; defect resolution).\nCreate and maintain technical documentation including API specs, architecture notes, and integration guidelines.\nEnsure solutions adhere to security, privacy, and compliance requirements; implement secure coding practices.\nMonitor and optimize performance of ECOSphere components and integrations (profiling, tuning, scalability).\nWork within SDLC/Agile/Scrum; participate in code reviews and continuous improvement.\nMinimum Qualifications\n0-3 years of experience\nBachelors degree or equivalent experience\nJava, Java Script, HTML, CSS, Rest APIs, Postgres SQL\nBeginner Full Stack Developer\nExperience working with cloud-based systems (AWS preferred) or comparable environments.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications (Upgrades)\nExperience with modern CI/CD and DevSecOps practices (automated testing, pipeline-driven deployments).\nExperience with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code concepts (nice to have).\nFamiliarity with domain-related systems is advantageous but not required.\nDoes this opportunity sound like a fit for you?
