Position: Online Technical Tutor (STEM / FAA Courses)Location:Remote (U.S.-based or approved international support), supporting FAA users nationwideJob Type:Part-Time / On-DemandJob SummaryThe Online Technical Tutor provides one-on-one, on-demand tutoring support to FAA Airway Transportation System Specialists (ATSS) in advanced technical subject areas, including mathematics, electronics, antennas, transmission systems, and Instrument Landing Systems (ILS). Tutoring is delivered through a web-based platform and supports FAA training programs designed to prepare personnel for technical operations roles.RequirementsBachelor’s degree (or higher) in:MathematicsEngineering (Electrical, Electronics, or related)Physics or closely related technical fieldOR:Valid teaching certification in a relevant technical subjectDemonstrated proficiency in:Algebra, trigonometry, logarithmsElectronics fundamentals (Ohm’s Law, AC/DC circuits)RF systems, antennas, or transmission lines (preferred)Ability to use web-based tutoring tools (video, chat, whiteboard, file sharing)Strong communication and instructional skillsAbility to explain complex technical concepts clearlyAvailability during:Monday–Friday, 0700–1530 Central TimeResponsibilitiesDeliver one-on-one tutoring sessions (up to 60 minutes per session) via online platformAssist students with course materials through:File uploads (PDF, DOC, images, etc.)Real-time problem solving using whiteboard/drawing toolsProvide instruction in FAA technical training subjects, including:Mathematics refresher topicsEnvironmental/electronics conceptsAntennas and transmission linesInstrument Landing Systems (ILS)Record and document all tutoring sessions for archiving and reviewProvide feedback on student performance and learning progressMaintain professional communication with students and program staffSupport scheduled and on-demand tutoring requestsParticipate in performance evaluations and quality assurance processesPowered by JazzHRNqHiEXtWgG
