We conduct monthly financial reviews as a team so everyone has a pulse on the health of the business and publish what we are building in our weekly changelog.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe're looking for a Technical Product Manager who can work directly with our customers to understand their technical needs and turn feature requests into execution-ready plans. You'll sit within the Product Management team, working from the same prioritization framework and outcomes-driven culture that guides how we build here, translating customer and technical context into a plan that engineering can act on, and then helping keep that plan on track all the way through delivery.\n\nYou'll own the relationship between customer technical requirements and what actually gets built. You'll take signals directly from customers, alongside input from sales, engineering, and leadership, and translate them into clear, well-scoped requirements, then partner with engineering as one team, not a handoff across a fence, to see the work through. That includes a delivery management piece: tracking milestones and dependencies, surfacing risks early, and making sure the plans you build turn into on-time delivery for customers. You'll also help the department measure adoption and impact after every launch so those learnings feed back into what we build next.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\nWork directly with customers to understand their technical environment, integrations, and feature requests, and translate that context into clear, well-scoped requirements.\nMap technical dependencies across our platform and our customers' systems, flagging risks and sequencing work accordingly within the team's prioritization framework.\nPartner with engineering as a true teammate, not a handoff across a fence, to scope, prioritize, and sequence delivery.\nRepresent the customer's technical perspective in sprint planning, roadmap discussions, and cross-functional reviews within the Product Management department.\nHelp keep cross-functional projects on track across the company, and support smooth GTM motions by aligning product, sales, and customer-facing teams around a shared, well-sequenced plan.\nAct as a technical point of contact for key accounts during onboarding, proof-of-concept, and escalation scenarios, working closely with customer success and support.\nMeasure adoption and impact after every launch and feed those learnings back into what we build next, in line with Rootly's outcomes-driven product culture.\n\nWhat You'll Need\n\n3+ years of experience working in; engineering, solutions engineering, or technical product management, with experience speaking with customer engineering teams about architecture, APIs, and integrations.\nExperience gathering and structuring feature requirements directly from customer conversations, not just from internal stakeholders.\nExperience reading API documentation, architecture diagrams, or system logs to diagnose technical fit and troubleshoot alongside customers.\nComfortable prototyping with AI tools to quickly test ideas and validate concepts before committing engineering resources.\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside engineering, sales, and customer success teams.\nPrior experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in infrastructure, DevOps, or platform tooling, given Rootly's space.\nA self-driven approach, with the initiative to make sound decisions and move projects forward with minimal guidance.\n\nYou do not need to match every qualification.
