Quality Assurance Technician

A manufacturing client is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Technician onsite in the Milwaukee area. This Quality professional inspects incoming and internally manufactured parts specifications, following diagrams and other written and verbal specifications. This is a Monday-Friday, 1st shift, direct hire position that requires someone with CMM programming experience!Key ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts and assemblies using engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality standards.Utilize precision measurement equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and other inspection tools to verify product conformance.Review quality reports and inspection requests generated through the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and complete all required documentation.Identify documentation discrepancies, errors, and omissions; recommend corrections and coordinate updates with Engineering and Document Control teams.Create and process non-conforming material reports (NCMRs) and engineering change requests (ECRs) as needed.Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities, communicating inspection findings and collaborating on corrective actions.Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to investigate non-conformances and improve product quality.Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to support manufacturing operations.Maintain supplier quality performance records and supporting documentation.Perform calibration activities for inspection and measurement equipment as required.Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment with tight-tolerance components.Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Proficiency using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment.Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) is preferred.Working knowledge of quality management systems and standards, including ISO requirements.Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and document non-conformances.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be consideredSalary of $55,000 - $72,000 annually
